Bacon Is Taking Over The WORLD!

You can now find/buy bacon chocolate, bacon candy, bacon ice cream sandwiches, bacon sundaes, bacon pancakes and much more at your local grocery stores and restaurants. The list of what you can find bacon in goes on and on. The other day I came across a new ad campaign for Denny's Baconalia, which just so happens to be the celebration of all things bacon.  I was intrigued by the bacon sundae: ice cream, maple syrup and bacon bits.  Denny's you win.  The following recipe was sent to me today by a dear friend.  Bacon.  It's always in season.

• 3-4 slices thick cut bacon
• 1 cup flour
• 1 cup buttermilk, cream or milk
• 1 egg
• 2 tbs vegetable oil
• 1 tbs sugar
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1/4 tsp vanilla
• pinch salt
